“I want to share something with ya’ll. A tree fell on our electrical wire. We’ve been out of electricity since Thursday. And this morning, well I finally went to my Dad’s last night and finally got a bath. I’m getting somewhere with this, ok. I’m real ‘ticky’ about my hair. It has to be just so for me to feel right. And you know, when Jesus hung on that cross, and He took every stripe for us and blood was coming down, He wasn’t worried about His hair. He was thinking about us. And this morning I got up and I’m like God, I don’t have any electricity, what am I going to do and He said, Sonja, I accept you just the way that you are. And you know, sometimes we got to lay down our flesh and I said God, I’m not vain. I like the jewelry, I like the ‘foo foo’, I like the make-up, I like the hair do. I like my clothes to look alright. I put my jeans on this morning, they were wrinkled and I was stretching them out. But you know, God doesn’t care what we look like, what we have on, if every hair is in place. What He cares about is our heart. “
We’re going to a place in God today that He wants us to go to. It doesn’t matter what I have on, what you have on, the way our hair is because He didn’t care. He laid down His life and He had a choice. He didn’t have to go to the cross. He could have not gone to the cross, but He laid down His life for you and I so that we could have eternal life. But you know what; Jesus isn’t on the cross any more. He ain’t got His rag clothes on. He’s glorious, amen. And He’s calling us to that place to that place with Him to where we lay down everything in our life. We lay down the vanity, we lay down our wills. We lay down even what we think our destiny is. Because let me tell you something, when you give into the Lord and you surrender all, He accepts you just the way you are and you are going to walk through that door and He says the past is the past. Let it go, let it go, let it go. Because it’s time for you and I to step into that place that he’s called us to be. Where God is, there is such freedom. And let me tell you, the glory of God is in us, it’s in us. And it depends on our relationship with Him and that intimacy that we have with Him depends on how much more we are manifesting everywhere that we go. So the Lord says c’mon, c’mon rise up with Me, for I accept you just the way that you are. For there will be those that will reject you, but let me tell you something, they rejected My Son, Jesus. So you are in good company, you’re in good company. The Lord says I am rearranging and causing things to come to pass in your life that you have prayed for over and over again. He says I heard you the first time and you start praising Me for the answer. You start praising Me for the answer and you will see those things come to pass says the Lord. So Father, we exalt You, the King of glory, the King of glory. For you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and Father there is no other but You, Father. Father, we may not have electricity in the natural, but we got electricity in the spirit, hallelujah. So Father God, we’re gonna press on and we’re gonna do those things which You have called us to do and we choose this day who serve and that is Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Savior, who is alive, who is well. He is well, He is well, He is well able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine. So Father, we exalt You, the King of glory, the King of glory we honor You today, Father. We honor You, Jesus. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! C’mon church. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Glory, glory, glory.”
